Crochet Scrubbies are very popular and they come in so handy around the home. They can be used for a myriad of different uses. From washing your dishes to wiping down surfaces, the best part is you simply throw them in your machine when they are dirty.
They are reusable time and again and they wash up a treat. You can also use them on your body in the shower and even to remove makeup and the like. They act as a natural exfoliator.
Donna Wolfe from Naztazia will show us today in a video that lasts less than 5 minutes and here are some of her frequently asked questions when it comes to crocheting spiral scrubbies.
Crochet Spiral Scrubbies FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):
Q. Can I use nylon netting?
A. Yes! It works great. So do the newer scrubbie yarns.
Q. What size hook are you using? What type of yarn?
A. H (5 mm hook). I’ve made these with many different types of yarn over the years. But Sugar n Cream 100% cotton yarn is what I used for the sample photos you see on my website.
Q. Can I make the scrubbie bigger?
A. You can make a scrubbie bigger and still use the same pattern by doing a few things.
1) You can use a larger crochet hook, which will increase the size of each stitch – thereby increasing the final product.
2) You can use thicker yarn (or even double the yarn) – thus also increasing the final product.
3) You can use a thicker yarn and a larger crochet hook.
4) You can also modify the pattern – perhaps add 5 chains at the beginning row and add 5 more rows to the pattern.
