Tapestry crochet basically makes a flat pattern design, but without casting off when you change colors. Not only does this look beautiful, it’s neat and tidy from all sides.
This is done by crocheting over the color you’re not using with the color you are using and switching between the two.
In the above example, Blogger Julie Harrison shows how to graph out a harlequin pattern, and crochet it step-by-step. You end up with gorgeous rows of colored diamonds.
