If you are suffering from green mucus, this may be a sign of a bacterial infection. Red or Pink is more serious and could be a sign of Pneumonia, Tuberculosis or potentially Lung Cancer.

Bronchitis and Pneumonia can also be rusty brown mucus. Black mucus can be a result of smoking or fungal infection.
