According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water.

The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%. Up to 60% of the human adult body is water.

These figures alone show us why it is vital to keep our water intake up. Water will put you in a better mood, promote a healthy heart and muscle gain and it will also give your brain a boost. 

Signs Of Water Dehydration

One of the major signs that you are dehydrated is that you are thirsty. Constipation, headaches, lethargy, lower back pain, and even muscle and joint pain are also indicators.

An easy way to see if you are dehydrated is to check your urine. If it is bright yellow, this is a red flag. In fact, the darker the yellow your urine is, the more dehydrated you are.
