Personally, we found the Cabbage Soup Diet very easy to stick to. Within a day you are looking and feeling so much better. Your body is so much more energized and your skin will start to look more hydrated.

On the 7-day diet, you follow a specific eating plan that is restricted to certain foods It’s important that you keep your water and green tea up as the Cabbage Soup has excellent detoxifying properties too.

  • 2 (16 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes, with liquid
  • One large head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 (1 ounces) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • One (15 ounces) can cut green beans, drained
  • 2 quarts tomato juice
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 10 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 (14 ounces) can beef broth

How To Make Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe

Place carrots, onions, tomatoes, cabbage, green beans, peppers, and celery in a large pot.

Add onion soup mix, tomato juice, beef broth, and enough water to cover vegetables.

Simmer until veggies are tender. Cabbage Soup may be stored in the fridge for several days.

Day One: Fruit: Eat all of the fruit you want (except bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice, and water.

Day Two: Vegetables: Eat until you are stuffed will all fresh, raw, or cooked vegetables of your choice.

Try to eat leafy green vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas, and corn.

Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner, reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter. Do not eat fruit today.

Day Three: Mix Days One and Two: Eat all the soup, fruits, and vegetables you want. No Baked Potato.

Day Four: Bananas and Skim Milk: Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you would like on this day, along with your soup. This day is supposed to lessen your desire for sweets.

Day Five: Beef or Chicken And Tomatoes: Ten to twenty ounces of beef and up to six fresh tomatoes. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water this day to wash the uric acid from your body. Eat your soup at least once this day.

You may eat broiled or baked chicken instead of beef (but absolutely no skin-on chicken). If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for beef on one of the beef days (but not both).

Day Six: Beef and Vegetables: Eat to your heart’s content beef or skinless chicken and vegetables this day.

You can have 2 or 3 steaks if you like, with leafy green vegetables. No Baked Potato. Eat your soup at least once.

Day Seven: Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices, and vegetables: Again stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat your soup at least once on his day.

You can use chicken broth or vegetable broth with seasoned canned tomatoes to spice it up. It shouldn’t vary your results and will taste decidedly better.

Throughout the diet, season with salt, pepper, herbs and seasonings. This will take the edge of any blandness.

You will need to stick with the cabbage soup diet for 7 days and be sure to eat your soup at least once a day. You are not allowed to have bread, alcohol, or carbonated beverages, not even diet soda.

Whilst results vary, we tried this diet and lost around 8 kilos. You should easily manage to lose 5 kilos. Some have recorded more. 10 pounds would be a great result and is regularly achieved according to review sites.
