Restless Legs Syndrome is a common cause of sleeplessness and anxiety and can result from simple things such as excess caffeine or insufficient exercise.

One of the remedies that seems to be in big circulation has been the bar of soap under the mattress trick. Apparently, this really works. Pop the soap in an old sock. Many have stated that they have used ‘Ivory’ Soap but others have also said any soap works.

On Frugalista Blog, she keeps her soap in a sock at the end of her bed. When she feels an attack coming on, she rubs her legs with it. She says it works well and her daughter uses the remedy too. It’s worth a try and what have you got to lose? Just those restless legs!

Pharmacy Times have some excellent tips for Restless Legs including applying pressure and they also suggest that when you travel, you should take morning flights.

Try and get an aisle seat too by informing the flight attendants that you need to move around due to your condition. You should also take the stairs wherever possible to keep your circulation up.
