Upside Down Tomatoes DIY Instructions

All you need to do is cut a 3″ hole in the center of the base of the bucket and drill two 1/4” holes down from the top edge.

You then line the base of the bucket with newspapers and half fill with potting mix. Lay the bucket on its side and cut a slit in the newspaper. This will hold the roots in place.

Once plants are established, you can attach the nylon cord through the holes and hang it up. Make sure it’s watered well. During the growing season, apply fertilizer every 2 weeks.

You can use plastic or metal buckets to grow your Tomatoes and you can also move them around to take advantage of sunny spots.

The ones above from Garden Therapy are a great example. They have an attractive ornamental look.
