One of the ways to wash your baseball hats is in a Plastic Container. All you need is dry laundry detergent, a balloon, a towel and a large plastic container with a lid.
The balloon is used as a base to put the damp baseball hat on. It stops it from shrinking while it dries. If your hats are really grubby, try spraying them with vinegar and let them soak for 10 minutes.
For badly stained hats sprinkle with baking soda, then spray with vinegar and scrub carefully with a toothbrush.

Make sure your hat is well covered by the warm water. Do not use boiling hot water for this process. Prior to adding the detergent, pop the lid on the plastic container and shake vigorously. You’ll be amazed how brown the water turns.
Another great idea is to clean them in your dishwasher. Anna Moseley says this method works great. She pre-treats her dirty caps using the methods mentioned above and then runs them through a regular dishwasher cycle.
She also includes some pre-rinsed dishes too. Anna says they come out smelling like new. She then lays them on a flat surface to dry. What an ingenious idea.
