- 1-2 spoons of vinegar
How To Dye Eggs With Kool-Aid Instructions
First, mix your water with the pouch of Kool-Aid you’d like to use. Be sure to mix it until all the powder is dissolved. You do not need to add sugar.
Next, add in your vinegar. If your egg is smooth you’ll need only about 1 tbsp of vinegar. if you notice the shells are a little rough, you can add another tablespoon. Mix the vinegar into the cup well.
Now it’s time to color your eggs. Using an egg holder or small slotted spoon, dip the egg in the Kool-Aid mixture. Let it sit for a good minute, then check on it. If you’d like the color to be more vibrant, leave it in another minute. You can repeat this as often as you need to get the vibrancy of color that you’d like.
You can also mix half pouches of Kool-Aid colors to make your own shades, or half dip eggs in one cup and dip the other half into another cup for a fun effect.
