All you’ll need is you craft supplies, some scissors, a tape measure and some time! Blogger, Darci, came up with this no-sew floor pillow project while trying to find a floor cushion for her 2yo Son.

  • Poly-fil, about 32 oz or more
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Measuring Tape

No Sew Floor Pillow Video Tutorial

This video shows the exact same method that Darci used to make her pillow. The idea is simple, you just need a couple of hours to dedicate to the project. Depending on how large you’d like your pillow to be, you may want to buy more or less fleece. The above measurements are a good guide for a large pillow.

You can also refashion the pillow to be a circle, oval, or any other shape. Click Play above to watch the video now ^

First, you’ll need to measure your fabric and be sure it’s cut to the exact size you’d like. Be sure to add 10 inches to the size you’d like since you’ll be using that length to tie the pieces together. Darci’s pillow was 45″ x 45″, s she cut her fabric to 55″ x 55″.

The next step is to cut fringe pieces all along the edge. These will be you ‘ties’, where you connect the edges of the pillow together.Try to stick to about 1 1/2 inches in width for each piece of fringe.

Now, laying one piece print side down, and the other print side-up on top of it, you’ll need to begin tying the fringe together. Be sure to leave a small space untied so you can put in the Poly-fil.

The final step is to stuff the pillow full of Poly-fil. Decide how thick you want your pillow to be, and test it out as you go since the weight will flatten the poly-fil.

That’s it! You’ve got a completely personalized, cozy floor pillow that costs under $30 to make and didn’t take up a lot of time either. Be sure to visit Darci on her Blog now and check out all her great projects. This is one of many ideas that she has. Visit Here
