The creator of the Christmas Tree Doilies above has used 3 different sizes to make her Christmas Trees. The tutorial suggests 11cm, 15cm and 17cm size doilies but you can adjust to suit.
You need wooden skewers for the trunk, wooden beads to secure the doilies plus a glue gun, pruning shears and scissors. You can find the full printable tutorial on Oui Oui Oui Studio here.
