How To Make Air Freshener Gel

Preset your desired Essential Oil and the Food Coloring into your heat resistant container. Use 30-40 drops of the essential oil (the more drops, the stronger the fragrance) with about 4 drops of food coloring. You can add more until you have achieved the desired color.

Next, it’s time to create the Gel Mixture. Boil up one cup of water plus the entire box of gelatin which should be about 4 pouches. Stir ingredients together with a wooden spoon. Add in one cup of cold water and a couple of pinches of salt. Stir until all ingredients are dissolved.

The final step is to pour the Gel into your heat-safe container. The liquid is boiling so pour carefully. Leave your gel to set overnight.

Your Air freshener gel will last about a month. You can then scoop it out of the container and remake another.  When it comes to Essential Oils, you can get a basic starter kit on Etsy which has a range of lovely fragrances that you can test out. See them here.

You can also add things like shells and other decorations to your gels so that they fit in with the decor of your home.
