It is very simple to make these Broken China Stepping Stones. Simply wrap your plate in a towel and use a hammer to smash your plate into smaller pieces.
You can use cake pans or foil baking pans for your molds. A really clever trick is to oil your pan.
You can also insert plastic wrap. This helps them slide out easily when your project has dried.
