How To Make A Mason Jar Herb Garden
It’s easy to put these Mason Jars together. It is recommended that you use quality organic potting soil for this project.
DIY Mason Jar Herb Garden Materials
- Fill your Jars 3/4 full with Potting Soil
- Add seeds to each jar following the planting instructions
- cover the seeds with additional potting soil.
- Add identification tags to each mason jar
- water in seeds, just enough water to dampen

These Herbs also require bright light, good ventilation and, the temperature in the vicinity of 55-75F (13-24 degrees Celcius) to have their best opportunity.

You can use a Pallet or any other backdrop. It could be wood, a chalkboard, an old door .. anything goes. We have seen them hanging on window shutters and lots of other household items.
The best way to work out if the backdrop will be right for your project is to check how easy it will be to attach the Mason Jars. To hang, you can use clamps as shown in the above versionÂ

- Use slow growing plantsos
- No direct light otherwise you may cook the ball of the roots when jar heats up
- Don’t over water, simply dampen
- Use rocks for drainage
- Do not hang near heater vent
