It’s no secret that we are big Baileys fans around here and today we add this Baileys Chocolate Mousse Recipe to our favorites.

This easy and delicious recipe was initially found on Facebook by Leslie R who is a newsletter subscriber and she couldn’t wait to make it. We are happy to report that it’s easy and delicious and you are going to love it.

Baileys Chocolate Mousse Ingredients

  • 2 Teaspoons Unflavored Gelatin
  • 2 Tablespoons Cold Water
  • 1/4 Cup Boiling Water
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup chilled heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup very cold Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • (if you want to make the flavor more intense add an extra tablespoon)

How To Make Baileys Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Prior to making your Baileys Chocolate Mousse, you need to place your bowls and your mixer beaters in your freezer for at least 15 minutes. Remove when they are chilled.

Place your serving dishes in the fridge to chill.

In a small bowl sprinkle your Gelatin over your water and stir. Let it stand for a minute or two until it softens sufficiently.

Next, add your hot water, stirring your Gelatin as you go until completely dissolved. Place to one side and let it cool down.

In a large mixing bowl add your sugar and Cocoa and stir together, add in your heavy cream and beat until stiff peaks appear.

Slowly pour in your Baileys, Vanilla and Gelatin Mix and continue mixing at high speed. You want the consistency to be well blended. You know it is ready when stiff peaks have formed.

Put your mixture to one side and let stand for at least 5 minutes. This allows it time to thicken.

Pop your mixture into individual serving dishes or glasses and pop in your fridge to chill.

Chill for at least one hour until ready to serve. Decorating with chocolate shavings is optional.
