Baked Spaghetti Bolognese Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 24 oz of your favorite spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb spaghetti noodles
  • 8 oz whole milk
  • 8 oz heavy cream
  • 12 oz mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 6 oz parmesan cheese grated

How To Make Baked Spaghetti Bolognaise Recipe

Use a buttered or greased 9 x 13 baking dish

BAKE uncovered in a preheated oven at 450 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is golden brown and bubbling.

You can also just broil on high for 2 to 3 minutes.

“In my opinion, based on 40+ years working as an Italian chef all over the world, USA included (which I LOVE, btw) your recipe is quite good.

Instead of Spaghetti, use penne, or macaroni – any kind of “tube” shaped pasta will do: they hold better the texture, and the cream & sauce will get inside, creating 100’s of mini-cannoli.

Baked pasta is a VERY traditional and ancient way to use cooked pasta leftovers.

Now, if I may, I’ll give you a couple of hints/tricks.

Don’t put the meat sauce on top, or you’ll risk it drying up (even with lots of cheese).

Instead, get a Layer of pasta on the bottom, then the meat sauce, and top it with the final layer of pasta.

Add the cheese and bake/broil. (for a richer result, add few small cubes of butter with the cheese)

Good job on greasing up the baking dish, but if you dust it with some fine bread crumbs, it will form a crunchy crust all-around your pasta dish.
