WHOot Contributor Gail sure knows how to hit the sweet spot when it comes to food. Today she’s sharing her take on the popular Clinkers Slice Recipe and you’ll love it.
Gails version has a secret ingredient that ups the ante and the taste. She includes Raspberry Lollies in hers and that’s what makes the difference. So, let’s see what you’re going to need.
No-Bake Clinkers Slice Ingredients
- 300g (21oz) Clinkers
- 1 packet plain/nice biscuits
- 100g (3.5oz) Raspberry lollies
- 125g butter
- 1 395g (14oz) can condensed milk
- 200g (7oz) milk chocolate
- 20g (.07) copha
How To Make Clinkers Slice Recipe
Place biscuits in a food processor and blitz to a crumb. Repeat with the clinkers, but leave a little texture to them.
Chop raspberries into small pieces. (This is easier to do if they are slightly frozen)
Place all in a bowl and mix well to combine. Set aside.
Add condensed milk and chopped butter to a saucepan.
Melt over low heat until the milk and butter combine.
Pour over biscuit mix and stir until well incorporated.
Spoon into a slice tray lined with baking paper.
Press with the back of a spoon to spread it evenly and to compact the mixture until you have a smooth surface.
Heat chocolate and copha in 30-second increments in a microwave-safe bowl, until melted and smooth. Pour over the slice and chill 3-4 hours until set. Slice and keep refrigerated.
Gail’s Kitchen Tip
The top pattern on the Clinkers Slice was made using a bought textured mat. EBay and Amazon has dozens of them for sale.
