How To Make Perfect Soft Boiled Eggs
You don’t want to end up with a green ring around the yolk as that means the egg is overcooked (and it will also be harder to peel).

The hallmarks for a perfect fried egg is that the white of the egg is cooked through but not rubbery. You should be looking for a bright yellow, runny yolk with a crispy brown edge. Start with a hot skillet that is medium to high heat, add some Canola Oil and crack your egg into the Skillet. If you want to add salt and pepper do so before the white has set.
Leave your egg to bubble and sizzle and pop for around 2 minutes. Once the edges are browned and crispy, the white is almost 100% set, and while the yolk is still bright yellow and runny, remove the egg from the pan.

How To Bake Eggs In The Oven
Over on the Pure Wow site, the Blogger has come up with a great idea to cook a big batch of hard boiled eggs. This trick will come in very handy particularly if you have a heap of people to make eggs for and apparently the only taste difference to using your stove top is a creamier texture!
All you need to do is preheat your oven to 325 degrees. If your oven runs cooler, the Blogger suggest 350 degrees. Simply pop your eggs in a muffin tin and cook for 30 minutes. You should then transfer them to cold water for at least 10 minutes.
Preheat to 325 degrees (or 350 if your oven runs cooler). Place eggs in a mini muffin tin and cook them for 30 minutes, then place them in cool water for about 10 minutes.
We love this method for bulk baking and you will end up with a perfect consistency. Eggs are full of protein, great for packing in lunch boxes or for a delicious on the run snack. They will last in your fridge for up to a week. What a genius idea.

Buzzfeed has some great tips for peeling a boiled egg. Simply crack your egg on the counter then while rolling your egg, press down until the egg is cracked all over.
Then Peel. If you are having difficulty peeling, pop it under some cold running water. This should help to loosen the shell.

The last thing anyone wants to eat or serve up is rotten eggs! There is an easy test that you can do so you know precisely how fresh your eggs are and all you need is a bowl of water to test. Here’s how you do it -:
- Very Fresh Eggs – A very fresh egg will sink to the bottom and lay on its side
- Week Old Eggs – will rest on the bottom but the fat end of the egg will rise up slightly
- 3 Week Old Eggs – will be balanced on pointy end with the fat end sticking up
- Bad Eggs – old eggs will be floating, bobbing along the surface of the water. These floaters should be tossed as they are not good enough to eat
