Annie R, a WHOot Newsletter Subscriber, alerted us to this Malteser and Mars Bar Slice.

She found it on Best Recipes Australia and says it has become a new favorite in her home. One look is all it took and we couldn’t wait to share with you all.

Malteser And Mars Bar Slice Ingredients

The best part about this recipe is that you only need a handful of ingredients. It has a biscuit base which gives it the perfect crunch.

Here’s Your Shopping ListĀ 

  • 1 cup Maltesers
  • 4 Mars Bars
  • 1/2 cup Condensed Milk
  • 250g (8.8oz) Chocolate Ripple Biscuits
  • 100g (3.5oz) butter
  • 400g (14oz) Cadbury milk chocolate
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil

What Else Do You Need?

Annie used a 20cm (8 inch) baking pan for this recipe and the only other item you will need is a food processor, or you can use a ziplock bag and rolling pin.

How To Make Malteser And Mars Bar Slice

Start off by lining your baking tin with baking paper. Be sure that the base and sides are fully covered.

Next, you will be crushing up your Chocolate Ripple Biscuits. You can either blitz in a food processor or our favorite trick is to use a rolling pin and ziplock bag.

Now, crush up the Maltesers, the end of the rolling pin works well and chop your Mars Bars into small squares.

Pop a small saucepan on your stovetop on low heat and slowly melt the butter and your condensed milk. Be sure not to burn.

Gently stir it until well combined.

Once you have a nice consistency add your crushed Maltesers, diced Mars Bars and your biscuits and stir the ingredients through.

Bear in mind your mixture will be extremely sticky, so don’t panic!

Now it’s time to transfer your mixture into your baking pan. The best way to flatten it is with the back of a metal spoon.

Press the mixture down and massage it into the corners of the pan until it’s nice and flat, like a slab.

Pop your pan into your fridge where your slice will need to cool and set for at least an hour.

Melt the Cadbury Chocolate and vegetable oil together, either on your stove top, or in your microwave. Stir it until well combined.

Once your slice has cooled, remove from the fridge and pour the chocolate mixture over the top. Decorate the top of your slice with any leftover Maltesers.

Pop your slice back into the fridge and then slice it up just before it has completely slice. Be sure to use a nice sharp knife. Enjoy!
