How To Make Peppermint Chocolate Slice Recipe
Add your biscuits to your food processor and gently crush. You want to leave some chunkier pieces for texture.
To a mixing bowl add your biscuit mixture.
Next, sift your cocoa into the bowl on top of your biscuit base.
In a microwave-proof bowl add your butter, peppermint chocolate and condensed milk. You want to melt the ingredients.
Use 50% power and every 30 seconds remove and stir. You want to have a smooth consistency and no lumps.
Add the chocolate mixture to your bowl containing your biscuit base. Add your Peppermint Essence to the mixture.
Stir until all your ingredients are well combined.
Grease and Line a Slice Tray with Baking Paper (16x22cm / 6×8 inches) and spread the fully combined mixture into your pan using a spatula. Smooth it over until it is even.
Melt white chocolate and coconut oil in your microwave. Again use 50% power and ensure that you stir regularly.
Carefully pour the mixture over the slice nice and evenly.
Immediately add a couple of drops of your green food coloring to the white chocolate and with a skewer make a swirling action until you achieve a pattern you are happy with.
Once completed, move your chocolate peppermint slice to the fridge. You don’t want it to set rock hard. It should be slightly tacky to the touch, but not too much.
Remove from the fridge and using a sharp knife, cut into squares.
This Slice will last for up to 5 days when stored correctly in an airtight container.
