Banana Upside Down Cake Recipe
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 1/2 cup of Chocolate Chips

How To Make Banana Upside Down Cake
Add 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 a cup of melted butter.
Mix until the texture is nice and smooth.
Grease a 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Add the mixture to the base of the pan and spread out evenly.
Slice up a couple of ripe bananas. Arrange them over the top of the butter and sugar mixture.
Cover the whole area, smoothing out with a spatula.
Set aside in the fridge, so bananas don’t brown.
Add a box of vanilla cake mix (430grams, 15oz) to a cup of water and 1/2 a cup of vegetable oil and 3 eggs and combine.
Mix with electric beaters or hand until well combined and lump-free.
Add in half a cup of chocolate chips. Using a spatula, mix it up.
Pour the cake mixture over the banana and sugar mixture.
Pop in a 350F/177C oven for 55 minutes. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool, and then run a knife around the edges.
Pop a cake plate over the top and tap gently. Turn upside down onto your plate and serve.
